Throughout thousands of years of evolution these plant beings have gone through a lot: they went from living in an almost tropical jungle to very close to deserts, in areas where rainfall is rather scarce for much of the year. Some people think that they hardly ever have to be watered, that they are very resistant to drought. But this is a mistake ... which can be paid for by losing the cactus, crass or caudiciform in question. I met a producer who He even told me that in order for them to be really well it was essential to water them almost as much as the tomato plants… And we all know how much water those horticulturalists want. At first it seemed exaggerated, as it surely seems to you, but it makes a lot of logic, since the smaller a plant being, the faster it loses water. This is why a low-rise cactus will shrivel in a matter of days if not watered.

The truth is that the world of succulents has many myths and curiosities that it is convenient to know to get to know better the ones we have in the patio, terrace or garden. What's more, if you pay attention to this section you will be able to get an idea of ​​everything they had to go through to become what they are today: plants capable of making someone become addicted to them, or hating them with all their soul.
