How to treat fusariosis in succulents?

Fusarium

Both cacti, succulents and caudiciform plants can be affected by the fungus Fusarium that causes the fusarium. And it is when they are watered excessively or if they receive a lot of rainwater being planted in a land that has very poor drainage, it is very easy for this microorganism to cause them many problems.

But do not worry: not only can it be prevented but it can also save your beloved diseased plants. All you have to do is follow the advice that I offer you below.

Fusarium disease, as we have mentioned, is caused by the Fusarium fungus. East it is a microorganism found in the earth, where it remains waiting for the warm and humid weather of spring to come to fruition and thus emit its spores which will be transported by the wind.

What are the symptoms?

The symptoms that succulents have are the following:

  • Stem wilting, which runs from the roots upwards
  • Stem rot
  • Growth slowdown
  • Loss of natural color
  • Leaf fall if I had them
  • Death

How do you fight?

To prevent the advance of the disease, what has to be done is cut to the chase with a serrated knife previously disinfected with pharmacy alcohol, let the wound dry of what is now cuttings for a week and then plant it in a pot with substrate that drains well, such as cheek or akadama. Treating it with a spray fungicide is also highly recommended, just in case.

Can it be prevented?
