What is Blue Nitrophoska?

In this chemical complex compound fertilizer that contains both the macronutrients (nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus) like micronutrients succulents need to be able to grow and have an excellent development. It is the type of "food" thanks to which they will be able to produce spectacular flowers and, also, reach their proper size, that is, the one that their genetics dictate, at a good pace.

Su composition is:

  • Nitrogen 12%: involved in growth.
  • Phosphorus 12%: helps to produce new roots, seeds, flowers and fruits, in addition to strengthening the plant protection system.
  • Potassium 17%: helps to develop strong plants.
  • Magnesium: intervenes in the photosynthesis process.
  • Sodium: also involved in photosynthesis and ionic balance inside cells.
  • Micronutrients (calcium, iron, boron and zinc): have multiple functions: maintain the health of the plant, and regulate the growth and formation of flowers and fruits.

What is the dosage?

Although the dose will be indicated on the packaging, it is usually higher than what our plants really need. In addition, we must take into account the size, both of the species in question that we want to fertilize and of the pot, as well as the season of the year in which we are.

So that you can get more or less an idea of ​​how much you have to add the following:

  • Cactus and small succulents (less than 40cm tall): a small spoonful.
  • Cactus and medium succulents (41 to 1m high): two small tablespoons.
  • Cactus and large succulents (more than 1m): 
    • on the ground: three small tablespoons, maximum four.
    • potted: two or two and a half small tablespoons.
